The fifth meeting of Azerbaijan-Switzerland joint commission on trade and economic cooperation took place in Baku.
Azerbaijan`s Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev told of successful relations established between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.
The minister said Azerbaijan actively participates in numerous international infrastructural projects. Mr. Mustafayev said political and macroeconomic stability, sustainable economic development and favorable investment milieu attract foreign investors to Azerbaijan.
Member of the board of directors of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland, Ambassador Eric Martin said the government of Switzerland is keen to expand relations with Azerbaijan. Ambassador told of current state of his country`s economy, international relations and economic cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Shahin Mustafayev and Eric Martin signed a protocol of cooperation in industry and energy, agriculture, finance, culture, tourism and other sectors.
